New Delhi: China's presence in the Indian Ocean has made India and the US cautious. Meanwhile, the Indian and US navies have started joint naval warfare exercises in the Indian Ocean. From India's side, INS Aditya and INS Visakhapatnam were involved in this along with the large American aircraft carriers USH Theodore Roosevelt and USS Daniel Anoette. Both countries also attached their respective 'guard ships' with these ships.

The US Central Command Headquarters based in Bahrain said above the 'x' post on July 12 that the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group (TRCSG) has arrived in the US fixed fleet area today (July 12). The aim of the exercise is to prevent potential aggression in the region as well as establish regional stability and also ensure free trade in the region and the Indo-Pacific region.

Along with this, America said that both important and major defense allies want to keep the entire region and the Indo-Pacific region open and free by conducting joint maritime exercises.

It is notable at this stage that Russia and China have also begun joint naval exercises in the Central and North Pacific and the South China Sea. Extensive naval exercises from the Aleutians to Thailand have begun on the 14th.
