Mumbai: The release date of Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey starrer 'Phir Ae Haseen Dilruba' has been announced. The film will start streaming on the OTT platform from August 9. Apart from Taapsee and Vikrant in the lead roles, Jimmy Shergill and Sunny Kaushal will also show their acting talent in this sequel to the 2021 film Haseen Dilruba. The film is directed by Jayapradha Desai while written and co-produced by Kanika Dhillon.
The official synopsis of the film states that the film will pick up from where the first film Haseen Dillruba ended. The story of the film begins with Rani Kashyap and Rishabh Saxena who are preparing to start a new life in the vibrant city of Agra. Their search takes a dramatic turn with the police in pursuit and blood drops showing the way and the arrival of Sunny Kaushal's character Abhimanyu adds a new layer to the whole drama. The lovers find new enemies in the form of Jimmy Shergill and others who are set to destroy their hopes of living happily ever after. Taapsee was last seen in Dunki opposite Shah Rukh, while Vikrant appeared in Vidhu Chopra's acclaimed 12th Fail.
