Mumbai – A court has granted bail to a YouTuber who was arrested last month for allegedly threatening to kill actor Salman Khan and claiming to have links with gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Banwarilal Gujjar from Rajasthan was charged under criminal intimidation and the Prevention of Information and Intelligence Act. Police said Gujjar had uploaded a video on YouTube talking about Khan's murder and claimed to have links with Lawrence Bishnoi, Geldi Brar and other gangsters.
The police said Gujjar had made the video to increase the number of viewers. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate VR Patil accepted his bail plea.
He has falsely implicated himself in the case without any concrete evidence. He makes videos for entertainment. Nowhere in the video did he say that he would kill Salman Khan. Hence, it was argued that the applicable sections do not apply to him.
