Punjab Weather Update: Due to the speed of monsoon and lack of rain in Punjab, the temperature is continuously increasing. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, from June 1 to July 15, 34 percent less rainfall has been recorded in Punjab and 35 percent less rainfall in Haryana and Himachal.
According to the data, Punjab normally receives 128.4 mm of rain, but so far only 85.1 per cent rainfall has been recorded, which is 34 per cent less. Similarly, Haryana received only 80.2 mm of rain against the normal rainfall of 123.3 mm. Himachal Pradesh normally receives 211.5 mm of rain but so far only 137.8 mm of rain has been recorded.
