Due to heavy rains in the upstream, the dam level reached 105.72 metres with an inflow of 99,504 cusecs of water. As a result, two gates of the dam were opened and 19,055 cusecs of water was released into the Karjan river as a safety precaution and now the dam has 60.28% water.
At the same time, due to the water being released from the dam, people of Bhadam, Rajpipla, Hazarpura, Bhacharwada, Dhamanachana and Dhanpor areas have been appealed to remain alert.
