Birbhum, July 15 (HS). There was a lot of uproar after the death of a patient at Siuri Super Specialty Hospital in Birbhum district on Sunday night. The patient's relatives protested in the hospital. According to police and local sources, the name of the deceased was Sheikh Lalu (43). He was a resident of Bansjhor village of Siuri.
According to Lalu's family sources, Lalu consumed poison on Sunday morning. After this, the local people admitted him to Siuri Super Specialty Hospital at around 11 am. But he was not treated properly. Even after repeated appeals to the nurses, they did not pay attention. After this, Lalu died at night.
On hearing the news of Lalu's death, his family members created a ruckus in the hospital. On receiving the news, the police of Siuri police station reached the spot and controlled the situation. Lalu's son Sheikh Alamgir said, “I brought him to the hospital at 11 am. But the treatment started at 12 o'clock, that is, an hour later. I myself brought him to the ward. After this, he was not treated well. Death occurred due to medical negligence.”
However, till the time of writing the news, no response was received from the hospital in this matter.
