Araria 15 July (HS). Forbesganj Chemists and Druggists Association welcomed the newly posted drug inspector Naveen Kumar and the already posted assistant drug controller Upendra Narayan Pandit by organizing a welcome and felicitation ceremony in an auditorium of Forbesganj on Monday.
In the program organized under the chairmanship of the association's President Awadhesh Kumar Sah, apart from the officials of the Drug Department, the association's office bearers President Awadhesh Kumar Sah, Secretary Manoj Kumar Bharti, Treasurer Sunil Gupta, Organization Secretary Kundan Kumar, Vice President Gopal Krishna Sonu, Joint Secretary Mukesh Jaiswal, Administrative Secretary Rakesh Roshan, Branch Coordinator Ganesh Yadav, besides the executive committee members, members from various places of the sub-division participated.
In his presidential address, Avadhesh Kumar Sah appealed that compliance with the Drug Act is of utmost importance for us and if any kind of technical flaw is found in its compliance at any drug seller, then the officer must give that drug shopkeeper an opportunity to rectify it before taking any departmental action. Under the Abhinandan cum Abhivadan program, the Assistant Drug Controller and Drug Inspector were honored by the members of the association by garlanding them, presenting them with a bouquet of flowers and a shawl.
On the occasion, Assistant Drug Controller Upendra Narayan Pandit addressed the members and asked to sell codeine containing cough syrup and narcotic medicines only under the specified guidelines. He also asked to keep the complete record of purchase and sale of these medicines and the photocopy of the prescription by the doctor in the record.
District Drug Inspector Naveen Kumar in his address to the chemists said that he is committed to follow the rules and regulations with full devotion and honesty. It is his priority to ensure the safe quality of medicines
