Rohtak, July 15 (HS). Doctors of General Hospital held a two-hour symbolic strike on Monday under the aegis of Doctors Association. Doctors have been trying for a long time to get their pending demands accepted. Senior Vice President of Doctors Association Dr. Harvinder says that doctors are adopting constitutional methods to get their demands accepted. Whereas the government is always ignoring their demands, even the promises made by the government during the Corona period have not been fulfilled yet.
Dr Harvinder has said that the government makes the doctors who do PG sign a bond of Rs 1 crore, which is beyond the reach of every doctor. The Doctors Association says that this amount should be reduced so that all doctors can do PG in an affordable manner. Also, the Doctors Association demands that a specialist cadre of doctors should be created so that the doctor should work only on the specialization he has and not be engaged in other works. The workload on doctors of every department is increasing amidst the increasing number of patients, so the government should reduce this burden by recruiting new doctors and also their allowances should be given to them as per the rules.
According to the report of a committee formed by the government, it has been told that the difference in salary between private hospitals and government hospitals is quite big. This is the reason that doctors prefer not to work in government hospitals and the government discriminates against those doctors who work there. Doctor Harvinder Singh has warned the government that if his demands are not met by 25th July, then he will have to launch a big agitation. In which he will also stop emergency services. Therefore, he has requested the government to fulfill his pending demands as soon as possible so that patients do not have to face problems in future.
