Mirzapur, July 15 (HS). Revenue Inspector Indramani posted in Madihan Tehsil was arrested red handed by the Anti Corruption Team on Monday while taking bribe. He was counting the bribe money in the verandah of the Tehsil. The Anti Corruption Team caught him and took him to Madihan police station.
The complainant told that a deal was struck with the revenue inspector for 25,000 rupees to settle the land issue of Ledukhi village. The anti-corruption team reached the tehsil on Monday afternoon on the complaint. During this the complainant handed over the chemical-coated notes to the revenue inspector. He came to the verandah with the money and started counting it. The anti-corruption team, which was already waiting, caught him. The team reached Madihan police station along with the revenue inspector. The legal process is being carried out in a closed room. Earlier the accused was working as an Amin in the Sadar tehsil. With the promotion to the post of Revenue Inspector he was posted in Madihan tehsil.
