He released a video on social media on Monday and said that shopkeepers are being beaten and misbehaved with by goons in the name of collecting donations for Muharram in Ranchi. Such incidents can spoil the peace and harmony of the entire city.
Marandi said that the main road of Ranchi is a very sensitive area. In the past also, such anti-social elements have tried to throw the city into the fire of riots. He has asked the Ranchi police to arrest the accused involved in this incident and immediately stop the hooliganism happening in the collection of donations for Muharram. He has also appealed to ensure the safety of all the shopkeepers of the main road.
