Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024: Apart from UP, Maharashtra, Bengal and Rajasthan are also among the states from which BJP has suffered a major setback in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Assembly elections are also going to be held in Maharashtra after a few months. Meanwhile, BJP is worried that if the situation in the assembly is like the Lok Sabha elections, then it may suffer losses. To avoid such a situation, BJP has started preparations from now on. Party strategists say that for this, emphasis will be laid on the Madhav formula. The party has worked on this formula earlier also and it has also benefited them.

To end the Maratha movement, the Eknath Shinde government had called a special session before the Lok Sabha elections. The quota was also approved. Even after that the results were bad. It is believed that the Maratha community has been supporting Sharad Pawar's NCP, Uddhav Sena and Congress. Apart from this, by giving more importance to the Marathas, the OBC phase also ended and its loss was seen in the elections. Now BJP wants to implement the Madhav formula to solve this problem. BJP has been trying to woo Mali, Dhangar, Vanjara community earlier also. These three communities have been combined and named Madhav.

These three categories come under OBC and BJP got huge support in 2014. Now BJP is trying to bring them together once again. As part of this effort, recently Ahmednagar district was renamed as Ahilyabai Nagar. Ahilyabai Holkar is worshipped as a goddess in the Dhangar community. She was a Maratha ruler who renovated all the temples across the country. If we add Mali and Vanjara along with Dhangar, then it becomes a large number. These three communities are considered a large part of OBC in Maharashtra.

The RSS has also made a big plan for Ahilyabai Holkar and has decided to organize a separate program on her 300th birth anniversary. The Dhangar community has a good influence in areas like Kolhapur, Sangli, Pune, Akola, Parbhani, Nanded and Yavatmal in Maharashtra. Experts of Maharashtra politics say that the Dhangar community has influence in about 100 assembly constituencies. Apart from this, people of Dhangar community have the power to change the results on 40 seats. In 2014, Gopinath Munde worked hard to unite the Dhangar, Mali and Vanjara communities with the BJP and as a result, the government was formed with good marks.
