These documents will be needed
UIDAI has told which documents will be required for Aadhaar update. UIDAI has reduced the number of documents required to change the name and date of birth. You can change the date of birth in Aadhaar card with only six documents. Date of birth can be changed only through passport, government employee record, pension record, educational certificate, transgender certificate, birth certificate.
How many times can you make corrections?
- If there is any mistake in the spelling of your name or you want to change your surname after marriage then you can change it.
- In such a situation, you can change your name in the Aadhaar card only twice. Which you can do both online and offline.
- It often happens that wrong caste is entered while making Aadhar card. If this happens, you can change it once.
- Similarly, if the date of birth is written wrongly, it can be changed once.
- Apart from this, home address, email ID, mobile number, photo, finger print and retina scan can be updated repeatedly.
