Unified Payment Interface which we know as UPI. Apart from India, this service is now available in seven other countries also. UPI can now also be used in Sri Lanka, Mauritius, Bhutan, Oman, Nepal, France and UAE. That is, if an Indian citizen travels to these countries then he can do online transactions through UPI. This UPI service available in countries other than India is known as UPI International. National Payments Corporation of India has collaborated with the above countries for real-time currency exchange.

In this article we will tell you how you can use UPI International. You can do online transactions up to Rs 2 lakh through UPI International. This service has to be activated in the UPI app before traveling abroad. Now let us know how to activate UPI International.
Do this to activate UPI International service in Google Pay.
Step 1: First of all open Google Pay app in your phone.
Step 2: Now click on the profile option visible in the top corner.
Step 3: Now you have to click on Bank Account.
Step 4: Later select the bank account through which you want to make international UPI transactions.
Step 5: Now go to Manage International Payments option.
Step 6: Turn on the toggle option that appears afterward.
Step 7: Now you have to enter the UPI PIN to activate UPI International service on your account.
Step 8: After doing this the international UPI service will start on your UPI account for 90 days.
How to activate UPI International service in Phone Pay?
Step 1: First of all open Phone Pay app in your phone.
Step 2: Now go to Profile option and scroll down.
Step 3: Now you have to select International option from the Payment Management menu section.
Step 4: Later select the bank account through which you want to make international UPI transactions.
Step 5: Now click on Activate option.
Step 6: Later activate UPI International service by entering your UPI PIN.
