Lamin Yamal became the youngest male footballer to play in a major international tournament final

Berlin, July 15 (HS). Spanish attacker Lamin Yamal has become the youngest male footballer to play in the final of a major international tournament. He was part of the Spain team in the Euro 2024 final. In the final match of Euro 2024, Spain won the title by defeating England 2-1 at the Olmiastadion Berlin.

Currently, Yamal is 17 years and 1 day old and has broken the record of legendary footballer Pele for being the youngest male player to play in the final of a major international tournament.

In 1958, Pele was involved in the World Cup final when Brazil defeated Sweden 5-2 in Stockholm to lift the coveted trophy. He scored two goals in that final against Sweden.
