Rajasthan will be drenched again with heavy rain

Jaipur, July 14 (HS). A period of heavy rain will begin once again in the state. The Meteorological Department has predicted that the monsoon will remain active in some parts of eastern Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days. Due to this, there is a possibility of an increase in rain activities with thunderstorms in some parts of southern and eastern Rajasthan and heavy rainfall at some places in Udaipur and Kota divisions. There is a possibility of an increase in rain activities with thunderstorms in some parts of Jodhpur division in western Rajasthan for the next 4-5 days. On Sunday, light to moderate rain was recorded in about half a dozen cities including Jaipur. The highest rainfall of 43 mm was recorded in Rupaheli of Bhilwara. Apart from this, 36 mm rain was recorded in Raipur of Jhalawar and 31 mm in Karauli.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to lack of rain, the mercury level in many cities of the state has increased. Jaisalmer was the hottest during the day with 41.3 degrees and Bikaner was the hottest at night with 29.8 degrees. The mercury level in Barmer also crossed 40.

On Saturday, light to moderate rain was recorded at some places in the state along with thundershowers. Heavy rain was recorded at some places in Jaipur, Jhalawar and Bharatpur districts. In eastern Rajasthan, the maximum rain was recorded in Gangdhar Jhalawar at 87 mm, Maujmabad Jaipur at 86 mm and Deeg Bharatpur at 66 mm and Osian and Jodhpur in western Rajasthan recorded 36 mm rain.

In Jaipur, people were troubled by the humidity and heat throughout the day. The sun kept playing peek-a-boo with the clouds throughout the day. The weather suddenly changed in the evening and dark clouds covered the city and it rained in many parts of the city. This brought relief to the people from the heat and humidity. A rise of more than 2 degrees was recorded in the day and night temperature of Jaipur. The maximum temperature of Jaipur was recorded at 35.8 and the minimum temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees.
