According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in some parts of Delhi-NCR including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh and heavy snowfall is also possible in the mountains. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of a big drop in temperature. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert with the possibility of changing weather patterns across North India. According to Meteorological Department officials, there will be heavy rain in some parts of North India, while at some places there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with strong winds. During this period, there is a possibility of a huge drop in the minimum and maximum temperatures.
Cold wave may increase once again in the country
Meteorological Department Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra said that the activity of western disturbance is expected to increase in the northern Himalayan region from Friday evening. Its impact will not be limited to North India only. During the next three to four days, cold northern winds coming from the northern hilly areas may once again bring cold wave in many parts of the country. He said that there is a possibility of rain and hailstorm with thunder at many places in the plains. He said that once again the weather in the hilly and plain areas may change completely and the atmosphere may become cold.
