Shivpuri, July 14 (HS). In Shivpuri district, under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, plantation program is going on at every Gram Panchayat level. At present, a plantation campaign is going on in 587 Gram Panchayats of the district. Under this campaign, 40 thousand saplings have been planted in various Gram Panchayats so far. Under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, villagers are also participating enthusiastically at the Gram Panchayat level to increase greenery. Apart from the villagers, various officials, representatives of social organizations are participating enthusiastically in this campaign and appealing to the people to plant trees.
It is worth mentioning that recently 2000 saplings were planted in Bhatnavar Gram Panchayat of Shivpuri district. Apart from this, plantation drive was conducted in Jaraay Gram Panchayat of Pichor, Ludhavali of Shivpuri, Maheshpur Panchayat and other places. In Bhatnavar Gram Panchayat, the villagers planted 2000 saplings in the plantation drive with great enthusiasm.
In this regard, Bhatnagar Gram Panchayat's Sarpanch Sanjay Awasthi said that under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign, two thousand saplings were planted in the Panchayat. He said that in the past too, for the last two years, plantation has been going on continuously in his Gram Panchayat to increase greenery, in which senior administrative officers along with the villagers also participate.
Shivpuri District Panchayat CEO Umrao Singh Maravi said that a campaign is being run at every Gram Panchayat level in the district, 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam'. A target of planting 71 thousand saplings was set in the 587 Gram Panchayats of the district, out of which 40 thousand saplings have been planted so far and this target will be achieved in the coming few days.
