In Kisko block, the youth of the village are taking initiatives to stop the tribal youth from getting addicted to drugs and connect them to education and to make complete arrangements for all kinds of education in the village itself. With this, the tribal youth will also be able to move ahead and achieve better positions in various government and non-government institutions.
In this campaign, the work is being done by the youths of Teesia Doomar Toli who passed out from BIT Sindri Dhanbad after studying engineering in 2013.
The aim of the campaign is to improve the future of tribal youth. Tribal youth migrate to other states after completing matriculation and intermediate studies and work as labourers. The campaign is being run with the aim of empowering such children and shaping their better future.
By holding the first meeting in 2022 in the tribal village of Tisiya Doomar Toli in the remote area under Kisko block, the importance of education was discussed and curiosity was generated among the people and 20 to 25 meetings were held continuously for a year, in which, while seriously thinking about the future of tribal youth, a consensus was made to build a tribal library in the village itself.
In this, it was decided to build a tribal library by their own financial and physical contribution, for which a Tribal Library Construction Committee was formed.
Its president Vinod Oraon, vice-president Udhwa Oraon, treasurer Vishram Oraon, Sachin Shivdayal Oraon, deputy secretary Rajesh Oraon, members Pradeep Lohara, Rajendra Yadav, patrons Birsa Oraon, Kishun Oraon, Raju Oraon, Bigambar Munda, Shahdev Oraon and others were elected. After this, the foundation of the library was laid in the first of 2024. The building for the library has been prepared till the form level in 1100 square feet.
The target is to complete the construction of the building by December 24 and to launch the library in 2025, which has involved more than three lakh rupees and the labour of hundreds of people. People from nearby villages like Tisiya, Dumartoli, Nathpur, Sarna Toli, Amba Toli, Rocho etc. have been cooperating here.
