Today is the day of results of by-elections held on 13 assembly seats in seven states of the country. Counting of votes is still going on. The kind of trends that are coming out are worrying and alarm bells for the BJP. By-elections were held on 13 seats on July 10. According to the Election Commission, the highest voting took place in Vikravandi assembly seat of Tamil Nadu and the lowest in Badrinath seat of Uttarakhand. By-elections were held for these seats for the seats that were vacant due to the death or resignation of the sitting MLAs of various parties.

TMC candidates are leading in all four seats of West Bengal. Krishna Kalyani is leading in Raiganj, Mukut Mani Adhikari in Ranaghat South, Madhuparna Thakur in Bagda and Supti Pandey in Maniktola.
A big change is being seen in Rupauli seat in Bihar. Independent candidate Shankar Singh has got a lead of 1036 votes. JDU candidate has slipped to second place. While Bima Bharti is continuously at third place. Five rounds of counting are still remaining.
Counting of votes is going on in Tamil Nadu's Vikravandi seat. DMK candidate is leading by 10 thousand votes. At the same time, Mohinder Bhagat of Aam Aadmi Party has won by 37000 votes in Jalandhar West seat of Punjab.
There is a reversal in Madhya Pradesh as well. Congress candidate Dhiren Shah has got a lead of more than 4500 votes over BJP's Kamlesh Pratap Shah on the Amarwara seat.
