High speed car overturned on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, two Punjab residents died, 3 injured

Dausa, July 13 (HS). The havoc of speed was seen on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway passing through the district. Two people died on the spot when a Scorpio lost control and overturned in Rahuvas police station area around 4 am on Saturday. Three people were injured. One of the injured is in critical condition. The accident was so severe that the car was badly shattered. The deceased and the injured are residents of Chandigarh, who were going to Nanded in Maharashtra. The bodies of the deceased have been kept in the mortuary of Dausa District Hospital.

Police said that the Scorpio was going from Delhi to Maharashtra on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. During this, near pillar number 206 Kuntalwas culvert, the Scorpio lost control at high speed and overturned.

In the accident, Sonu Singh (40), resident of Gurunanak Colony, Kharar Mohli Punjab, Charan Veer Singh (36), resident of Tangmai, Siyarpur Punjab, died. Jaideep Singh, resident of Shergarh Bhatinda, Punjab, Kamarjit Singh, resident of Gurunanak Colony, Kharar Mohli and Sandeep Singh were injured. All the injured were admitted to the district hospital. From where, the doctors gave first aid to the seriously injured Kamarjit Singh and referred him to Jaipur. The police got the damaged car removed with a crane and restored traffic. The accident probably happened due to the Scorpio driver dozing off. Its reasons are not yet known. The police is investigating.
