The first village court in Jharkhand was established in Jhumritilaiya of Koderma district. Civil cases up to Rs 25,000 and summons trial (minor) criminal cases will be heard in the village court.
After the start of the Gram Nyayalayas, the above cases of 19 panchayats of Mandar block will be heard. The panchayats whose cases will be heard in the Gram Nyayalayas include Mandro, Sarba, Bisaha Khatanga, Mahuajadi, Cambo, Bajhila, Kanjia, Mandar, Malati, Tigoi Ambatoli, Karge, Bargadi, Brambe, Mudma, Sursa, Nagda, Tangarbasli, Loyo and Jhinjhari panchayats.
At present, the concept of Gram Nyayalaya, which is being started in two blocks, can be implemented in the blocks of other districts in future. Six places have been selected for this.
