Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan has admitted that he accepted the folklore about Mahabharata and avoided keeping Mahabharata at home. Amitabh had ordered the book Mahabharata. But, following the popular belief that keeping Mahabharata at home is inauspicious, Amitabh has decided to send this book to the library.
Amitabh Bachchan's film 'Kalki 2898 AD' with Prabhas and Deepika has proved to be a superhit at the box office. Amitabh's role in this film has been praised more than all the other actors. The story of this film is based on Mahabharata and Amitabh himself has played the character of Ashwatthama in it.
According to Amitabh in his blog, he himself had ordered the complete book of Mahabharata. This book was also delivered at home. But then objections were raised that Mahabharata should not be kept in the house anyway. Finally, bowing against this belief, Amitabh has refrained from keeping this book in the house.
According to Amitabh, he is deeply attracted to the rich story and deep philosophy of Mahabharata.
