Araria 12 July (HS). Purnia Range DIG Vikas Kumar conducted a surprise inspection of Forbesganj SDPO office on Friday. Earlier, on reaching the SDPO office, DIG Vikas Kumar was given a guard of honor by Bihar Police personnel. SP Amit Ranjan along with SDPO Mukesh Kumar Saha were present on the occasion.
Range DIG Vikas Kumar sought information from the SDPO about serious cases in the subdivision area. Along with the pending cases, he gave many necessary guidelines regarding the security arrangements in the Indo-Nepal border area and the precautions to be taken during Muharram. The DIG also directed the officers to maintain law and order during Muharram and to keep a special vigil on the Nepal border area.
On the spot, DIG Vikas Kumar said that it was a routine inspection of the SDPO office. Talking about observing pending cases including serious ones, DIG Vikas Kumar appealed to the general public to maintain peace in view of the Muharram festival. The DIG also said to keep a special vigil on any kind of rumours and social media.
