Ramgarh, July 12 (HS). With the aim of providing better health facilities to the people of the district, Deputy Commissioner Chandan Kumar flagged off four mobile medical unit vans from the Collectorate premises on Friday under CSR through Hans Foundation in collaboration with the district administration.
On the spot, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Civil Surgeon Dr. Mahalakshmi Prasad and the concerned officials to ensure the route chart and arrangements for night halt etc. for the smooth operation of the van. Also, the van operator was instructed to contact the district administration or the concerned officer in case of any inconvenience. He said that in the initial phase, this van has been made available only to Ramgarh block, which will provide OPD facility to at least two villages in a day by roaming around in all the panchayats of Ramgarh block. In the coming days, this facility will gradually start in the entire Ramgarh district.
What is a Mobile Medical Unit Van?
The mobile medical unit van works like a mobile mini health center, which has a team of two ANMs along with a doctor. The van has a blood pressure measuring machine, pulse oximeter, blood sugar measuring machine, stethoscope etc. along with generic medicines given for various types of diseases. Through this, free treatment facilities are being provided to the common people.
On this occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Robin Toppo, Deputy Election Officer Ravindra Kumar Gupta, District Planning Officer Sameer Kullu, District Public Relations Officer Dr. Prabhat Shankar, DPM NHM Devendra Bhushan Srivastava etc. apart from Regional Head Shishupal Mehta from The Hans Foundation, Project Manager Samuel Singh, Project Coordinator Pawan Kumar Singh and Subhash Mukherjee were present among others.
