The National Highway Authority of India has recently launched the 'One Vehicle One Fastag' programme. This is expected to improve toll collection and reduce traffic jams. Along with this, the Government of India has made it mandatory for FASTag users to update KYC. The last date for this has been fixed as 29th February. So know here how you can update KYC for FASTag, check its status and complete the rest of the work.
How to update Fastag KYC online?
- If you want to update KYC of Fastag, you can apply online. For this, help can be taken from the official website fastag.ihmcl.com. Here you have to sign in with your registered mobile number.
- After this look for the menu option on the dashboard and click on My Profile. After this go to KYC option and select customer type.
- Now you have to check the declaration box visible on the screen and proceed for the KYC update process.
- You can also update KYC through the website of your partner bank. For this, go to https://www.netc.org.in/request-for-netc-fastag and select your bank. Now follow the instructions shown on the screen.
How to update KYC offline
- To update KYC without internet, you will have to go to the bank issuing Fastag. For this, PAN card, address proof, ID, passport size photo will be required. You can request the FASTag KYC form from your bank representative and fill it and submit it along with all the required documents.
- After this the bank will verify and process your form. After this, you will get an email and SMS notification on completion of FASTag KYC.
How to check Fastag KYC status
To check FASTag KYC status, you have to go to fastag.ihmcl.com and sign in with the registered mobile number. Now you can check KYC status by going to my profile. If your number is not registered on the NHAI FASTag website, download the MyFASTag app and complete the registration. After this you can check KYC status.
