All polling parties returned safely after casting their votes

Gopeshwar, July 11 (HS). After the peaceful completion of the by-election on the Badrinath assembly seat, all the polling parties have returned safely. The polling parties have deposited the polling material in the strong room built in PG College Gopeshwar. Due to road blockage in Joshimath, on the instructions of the District Election Officer, polling parties of remote polling stations Jumma, Kosha, Dronagiri, Arudi-Patudi were brought from Joshimath to Gopeshwar via helicopter.

Under the supervision of District Election Officer Himanshu Khurana, all the EVMs and VVPAT machines have been sealed in the strong room built in PG College Gopeshwar in the presence of representatives of political parties. There will be a three-layer security ring for the security of the strong room. The first security ring will be of ITBP, second PAC and third security ring will be of police. Apart from this, CCTV cameras have been installed for the security of the strong room. In view of security, all electricity connections have also been cut off from the strong room. Now the counting of votes will take place on July 13.

During this, General Observer Anita Ramachandran, Additional District Election Officer Abhinav Shah, Deputy District Election Officer Vivek Prakash, Returning Officer RK Pandey along with Congress representative Suresh Dimri and BJP's Ravindra Negi were present.
