Family planning fortnight started on World Population Day, target of female sterilization 3363, NSV 204

Palamu, July 11 (HS). Family planning fortnight was started on World Population Day at MRMCH on Thursday. In this connection, a program was organized in which as chief guest, District Council President Mrs. Pratima Kumari, Deputy Development Commissioner Shabir Ahmed, Palamu Civil Surgeon Dr. Anil Kumar and Rajasthan level Nodal Officer Ujjwal Kumar and NPDCD's Mo. Ataul inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. The program was conducted by Dr. Deepak Kumar.

This year the theme of family planning has been given as 'New identity of developed India – Family planning is the pride of every couple'. In Palamu district, a target of 204 for NHB and 3363 for female sterilization, 1698 in IUCD and 2381 in PPIUCD has been set. In Palamu district, in the financial year 2023-24, 78 NSB and 8420 sterilization operations were done.

On the occasion, Deputy Development Commissioner Shabir Ahmed said that the first priority is to keep the population in a proper manner. Population has to be controlled. He talked about making 100% people aware of the means of family planning. He stressed on the need to tell people about the schemes being run for family planning. He also talked about discussing in detail about temporary and necessary means and safe means.

He said that the way inflation is increasing, there is a shortage of resources. Keep your family limited. He gave information about safe options. He also asked Saheya, ANM and GNM to give information about this to the people. Mohammed Ataul of NPDCD said that for family planning, any woman between 15 and 49 years of age should reduce reproductive reproduction.

Civil surgeon Dr. Anil Kumar said that this year the theme of family planning is 'New identity of developed India-Family planning is the pride of every couple'. He gave information about the schemes being run for family planning.

Last year, health workers who did good work regarding family planning were honored, in which apart from the Sadar Block Medical Officer and Leslieganj Block Medical Officer, Sarita Devi, Anita Kumari Singh and Anupama Singh were honored with watches and shawls.
