Monsoon disaster in 4 states of the country, 182 people died, roads closed due to landslides, thousands of passengers stranded

Monsoon rain is a disaster for India: Due to the monsoon in the country, many states have received good rains, so this monsoon has become a disaster for many people. So far, 52 people have died in UP, 16 in Bihar, 92 in Assam and 22 in Himachal Pradesh due to rain-related incidents.

Landslide and lightning also fell from the sky

Many people have lost their lives due to lightning in many places in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The Badrinath highway was closed after a landslide in Chamoli, Uttarakhand yesterday. Due to which more than 3000 passengers were stranded. The situation has become worse due to rain in Haldwani, Banbasa, Sitarganj, Khatima and Tanakpur in Uttarakhand. More than 200 roads have been blocked due to debris.

Rivers flowed above the danger mark in Bihar

At the same time, many rivers including Gandak, Kosi, Bagmati, Kamla are flowing above the danger mark in Bihar. Flood like situation has arisen in Gopalganj, Bettiah, Bagaha. On Wednesday itself, 4 people died due to lightning in Bihar, while 6 people were injured.

How is the situation in Assam?

As far as Assam is concerned, the water level in the Brahmaputra and its tributaries has risen. At present, it is flowing above the danger mark. However, the flood situation in the region has improved. The number of flood-affected people in 26 districts has reached 17 lakh. With 7 more deaths, the death toll has risen to 92.

22 people died in Himachal in 2 weeks

People in the hilly state of Himachal are also troubled by the rain. 22 people have died in the last 2 weeks. According to officials, monsoon arrived in the state on June 27. Since then, there has been a loss of Rs 172 crore due to rain. According to the information, so far 5 major roads in Mandi district, 4 in Shimla and 3 in Kangra have been closed due to landslides. At the same time, 223 mm of rain has occurred in Gujarat. This state receives 25 percent of the total rainfall.

Many villages were submerged due to floods in UP

Many rivers in UP have reached dangerous levels. Saryu, Ghaghra and Rapti rivers are flowing above the danger mark. 5 people died in flood-related accidents in Balrampur and Lakhimpur. Many villages of Lakhimpur have been badly affected by the flood. More than 125 villages have been submerged. There was no rain in the state on Wednesday, but 52 people died due to lightning.
