Dhanbad, July 10 (HS). With the aim of providing a new employment opportunity to the unemployed youth of the state under the Labor Employment Training and Skill Development Department, Jharkhand Government, Dattopant Thengadi Employment Fair-2024 was organized for 3792 posts in Dhanbad district on Wednesday.
The program was started by lighting the lamp by Deputy Commissioner Madhavi Mishra, Labor Superintendent Ranjit Kumar and District Planning Officer Anand Kumar. During this, the Deputy Commissioner said that this is an effort of the Jharkhand Government to provide employment to the local youth of Jharkhand and to implement it on the ground, such employment fairs are being continuously organized at the district level. He said that today a total of 23 companies are present here and it is a good opportunity for the local youth, all the youth must take advantage of this opportunity. Along with this, he also directed the employers present in the employment fair to strictly follow the act and rules under the local employment policy of 75%.
The District Planning Officer said that efforts are being made to connect local people with local employment through the successful implementation of the Employment of Local Candidates Act 2021 and Rules 2022 in the private sector of Jharkhand state. He informed that 23 employers registered their presence in this employment fair and about 950 female applicants participated. In which a total of 149 applicants were selected by various employers and 367 applications were shortlisted.
