Bhopal, July 10 (HS). Many important decisions have been taken in the cabinet meeting held in the ministry on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav. The cabinet has approved the purchase of a new aircraft for the state government for Rs 233 crore. The government has decided to buy the Challenger 3500 model of Canadian company Bombardier Inc. Actually, on May 6, 2021, the plane crashed during landing in Gwalior. Since then the state government did not have any aircraft. During this time, the Canadian company's bid was the lowest. Also, Challenger 3500 fulfills the requirements mentioned in the tender conditions.
Approval of rationalization of scholarship rates for students of freed, nomadic and semi-nomadic classes
The cabinet has approved rationalization of scholarship rates for students residing in hostels, ashrams and community welfare centres run by the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Welfare Department in accordance with the fixed scholarship rates by the Scheduled Caste Welfare and Tribal Affairs Department. As per the approval, the present monthly scholarship for boys will be increased from Rs. 1230 to Rs. 1550 and for girls it will be increased from Rs. 1270 to Rs. 1590 per month. Along with this, it has been decided to accept the increase in the future scholarship rates on the basis of price index by the Scheduled Caste Welfare and Tribal Affairs Department for the Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes Welfare Department as well.
Approval of implementation of “National e-Vidhan Application” (NeVA)
The cabinet has approved a project of Rs 23 crore 87 lakh for implementing the centrally sponsored scheme “National e-Vidhan Application” (NeVA) of the Government of India in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly. It is noteworthy that in the Digital India program of the Government of India, the centrally sponsored scheme “National e-Vidhan Application” (NeVA) has been launched by the Government of India with the aim of making all the Legislative Assemblies of the country paperless and bringing them on one platform. 60 percent of the cost will be borne by the Government of India and 40 percent by the state government.
Acceptance of invitation of tenders for Narmada Valley projects
The cabinet has given permission to invite tenders for 7 projects of Narmada Valley Development Department costing Rs 9,271 crore 96 lakh. Permission to invite tenders has been given for Sondwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Niwali Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Sendhwa Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Maheshwar Janapav Lift Micro Irrigation Project, Dhar Micro Lift Irrigation Project, Badadev Joint Micro Irrigation Project and Maa Reva Lift Irrigation Project.
Administrative approval of Bokaro Micro Irrigation
The cabinet has given administrative approval for Bokaro Micro Irrigation Project costing Rs. 46 crores and catchment area of 3310 hectares. Farmers of 11 villages of Tehsil Rampura Naikin will get the benefit of irrigation facility from this project.
Administrative approval for the remaining work of Central Jail in Indore: The Council of Ministers has given administrative approval of Rs 217 crore 73 lakh for the remaining construction work of the Central Jail under construction on Sanwer Road in Indore.
