Ramgarh, July 10 (HS). Basant Hetamsaria of Ramgarh city has set a new record at the age of 70. He has increased the prestige of Ramgarh district by winning the gold medal in the shooting championship. He has won this gold medal in the 10 meter pistol (NR) senior master men's individual event of the 14th Jharkhand State Shooting Championship held in Deoghar.
The event was held from 7th to 10th July at Kumar Surendra Singh Shooting Range in Deoghar. He started learning pistol in November 2023 at Phoenix Shooting Academy in Ramgarh. In just seven months of effort, he topped his group at the state level. Sonu Pratap Singh of Ramgarh won the gold medal in the 25m standard pistol individual men's event and Akash Pratap won the gold medal in the 10m (NR) individual men's event. All of them have expressed their gratitude to their coach Vivek Pankaj for his excellent guidance.
