On Wednesday, District Transport Officer Manisha Vats went to the homes of 6 candidates in different areas of the district and distributed driving licence smart cards. It was distributed among Rajesh Prasad Patratu Basti Ramgarh, Chandan Kumar Barkakana, Santosh Gupta Parsotia Ramgarh, Shubham Bedia Ramgarh Cantt and others. She also assured the people on the spot that after applying for driving licence, the driving licence smart card is provided by the transport office soon after successful in the driving test. She also said that the District Transport Office makes efforts to provide driving licence cards as soon as possible with complete transparency to the people who have applied for driving licence.
The process of getting a driving license is quite easy and transparent. Eligible candidates can apply for a driving license online from any Pragya Kendra or by visiting www.sarthi.parivahan.gov.in.
During this time, the District Transport Officer appealed to all parents not to allow children below 18 years of age to drive vehicles. He also appealed to all drivers to follow the rules prescribed for safe travel.
