India has consistently said that this dispute can be resolved only through dialogue following the United Nations Charter. Actually, it is necessary to resolve any dispute diplomatically rather than through military action. This has been India's attitude for a long time.

Modi said that every person who believes in humanity is saddened when someone loses his life, whether it is a war conflict or a terrorist attack. It is heartbreaking to see innocent children dying, especially when they are killed. This pain is terrible. PM Modi told Putin that the whole world is paying attention to my visit. The world is deriving different meanings from this visit. Like a true friend, we spent 4-5 hours together at your residence yesterday. I am happy that we discussed the Ukraine issue in detail.

Apart from this, PM Modi also raised the issue of Indians joining their war in front of the Russian President. Many Indian youths have been tricked or forcibly included in the Russian army and are reportedly fighting the war with Ukraine. Sources say that when PM Modi raised this issue, Putin agreed to release all Indians serving in the Russian army and help them return home. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Kwatra said that it is believed that 35 to 50 Indians are fighting in the Russian army, out of which 10 Indians have returned home. After PM Modi raised this issue in front of Putin, the rest of the Indians will also be sent back.

After the 22nd annual bilateral summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow, the two sides in a joint statement pledged to enhance cooperation in areas ranging from nuclear energy, fertilizers, agriculture to infrastructure and to increase bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030 using national currencies for trade.
