Siliguri, 09 July (HS). Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) has suspended the Siliguri-Darjeeling toy train service for a few days. This service will remain suspended till July 11. Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) of Northeast Frontier Railway, Sabyasachi De, has given this information.
According to him, due to heavy rains, landslides have occurred in many areas from Sukna to Kurseong. Due to which the railway line has been damaged at many places. Due to this, the toy train service has been closed till July 11. This decision has been taken mainly keeping in mind the safety of the passengers. However, this service will continue from Darjeeling to Ghum.
