You can book a maximum of 12 tickets per month
IRCTC has said many times regarding e-ticket booking that as per the rules of the railways, an IRCTC user can book a maximum of 12 tickets every month from his personal ID (IRCTC ticket booking limit). For this, the user's IRCTC ID must be linked to the Aadhaar card. Apart from this, if any of the people traveling apart from the user is an Aadhaar certified user, then you will be able to book a maximum of 24 tickets every month from your personal ID.
Will you go to jail if you sell a ticket after booking it?
Under Section 143 of the Railway Act 1989, if you are found selling tickets after booking them online on IRCTC's app or website using your personal IRCTC ID, you may have to go to jail.
