Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Bharat Tax-2024 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on Monday. It is one of the largest global textile events ever held in the country. Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Darshana Jardosh also participated in the program along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Inaugurating the program, the Prime Minister said that we want to create a society where government interference is minimal. Yes, the needs of the poor should be met. I have been fighting for 10 years against the government's habit of encroaching on the lives of the rest of us and will end it in the next five years. The Prime Minister promised full support to the textile sector and said it would play an important role in making India a developed economy by 2047. When we were in power in 2014, the size of the country's textile sector was Rs 7 lakh crore, which has increased to more than Rs 12 lakh crore today.
Prime Minister linked textile sector to 5F
The Prime Minister said that we are linking all elements of the textile value chain with 5F. 5F are Farm, Fibre, Factory, Fashion and Foreign. Keeping 5F in mind, we are encouraging farmers, MSMEs and exports. Even after their development, they will continue to get the benefits of government schemes.
