Lucknow, July 9 (HS). The Yogi Government of Uttar Pradesh outperformed other big states in providing tap connections to every household. Not only this, while Uttar Pradesh is at the top in providing tap and tap water to every household, the expenditure in UP in providing tap connections to every household is the most economical in comparison to many other big states. The UP model of the double engine government, which is dominant in the distribution of tap and tap water to every household, is the best in comparison to other special states. Due to the policies of the double engine government, it cost approximately Rs. 59 thousand to provide tap connections to each family. While the amount spent in other states even on fewer connections was much higher than in UP.
UP provided tap connections to the common man at the most economical cost. On one hand, the transparent policies of the Yogi government were effective behind this, on the other hand, the geographical location of this place was also a big reason. At the same time, more than 80 percent of the schemes in Uttar Pradesh being solar based also proved to be quite effective. Maintenance cost came down due to solar.
In Uttar Pradesh, preparations are going on at a rapid pace for the supply of the cheapest water in the near future. The biggest reason behind this is that around 80 percent of the schemes here are dependent on solar. This will reduce the electricity cost. Currently, under Jal Jeevan Mission, around 32930 solar based schemes are running in Uttar Pradesh to provide tap and water to every household. The remaining 40591 schemes are being run on electricity. Pure drinking water is being supplied to 2,23,66,237 families through solar based project, while currently water is being provided to 36,65,080 families through electricity.
Providing water to Vindhya and Bundelkhand was the priority of the Yogi government. It was the result of the seriousness of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that water reached every house with tap connection in about 98 percent of the areas in Vindhya-Bundelkhand. The year 2024 was historic for Vindhya-Bundelkhand. There was no shortage of water anywhere in Vindhya-Bundelkhand this summer, which once used to cry for drinking water. There was no demonstration regarding drinking water nor was there a gathering of tankers. The reason for this was that there was adequate water supply in the villages of this region under Jal Jeevan Mission.
