Ranchi, July 9 (HS). Rural Development, Rural Works, Panchayati Raj Minister Irfan Ansari took charge in Jharkhand Ministry on Tuesday. Talking to journalists on the occasion, he said that there is very little time and a lot of work. In such a situation, continuous work will have to be done. He said that under the state government's ambitious scheme Abua Awas Yojana, the target is to provide housing to 4.50 lakh homeless poor families by constructing houses in the current financial year.
The minister said that a target has been set to connect the villages of the primitive tribal areas with the road. Under the Chief Minister Gram Sadak Yojana, those villages which have not been connected with the connecting road till now will soon be connected with the road. One lakh acres of land will be irrigated under the Birsa Harti Gram Yojana along with the construction of rural bridges and wells in the state.
Principal Secretary of Panchayati Raj Department Vinay Chaubey, Rural Development Secretary K. Srinivasan, MNREGA Commissioner Rajeshwari B, CEO JSLPS Sandeep Singh, Panchayati Raj Director Nisha Oraon, and other senior administrative officials welcomed and congratulated the departmental minister by making a formal meeting. The Rural Development Minister will also hold a review meeting of the departmental schemes on Wednesday.
Cabinet approval for proposal to amend Veterinary Service Manual soon: Deepika Pandey
The state's Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Minister Deepika Pandey Singh has assured to get the proposal for amendment in the Veterinary Service Manual approved by the Council of Ministers soon. The minister said this to the delegation of the Veterinary Service Association. There is a provision of four steps for promotion in the service manual of veterinarians. On this subject, the Veterinary Service Association met the departmental minister and expressed its gratitude to the minister for his positive attitude towards veterinarians.
