New Delhi, July 9 (HS). Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Secretary Jay Shah wrote an emotional message for Rahul Dravid and expressed his thanks and gratitude for his 'highly successful tenure' as the head coach of Team India.
Rahul Dravid's tenure as Team India head coach came to an end after the conclusion of the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024, where India defeated South Africa by seven runs to win the coveted trophy after 17 years.
Jay Shah wrote on his official X account that under Dravid's guidance, India emerged as a major force in all three formats of cricket. Shah wrote on X, “I express my heartfelt gratitude to Rahul Dravid, whose extremely successful tenure as head coach has come to an end. Under his guidance, Team India emerged as a major force across all formats, including being crowned ICC Men's T20 World Cup champions! His strategic acumen, constant efforts to nurture talent and exemplary leadership have instilled a culture of excellence within the team and this is also the legacy he has left behind. The Indian dressing room today is a cohesive unit that stands together amid challenges and enjoys each other's success.”
