Will this player be able to fill the void of Kohli and Bumrah in the series against Sri Lanka?

A 5 T20 match series is being played between India and Zimbabwe. BCCI has given a chance to new players in this series. The team has played 2 matches, won 1 match and lost 1 match. Team India still has to play 3 more matches. After this, Team India will go on a tour of Sri Lanka, where Team India will play a series of 3 T20 and 3 ODI matches against Sri Lanka from July 27. According to media reports, BCCI can also give rest to its senior players in this series.

This will give relief to the players

BCCI can rest the senior players of the Indian team i.e. captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah during the Sri Lanka tour. Hardik Pandya or KL Rahul can be given the captaincy of Team India on this tour. Along with young players, some experienced players can also be included in the team. Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah can join Team India from September. After this, Team India will prepare to capture the title of ICC Champions Trophy to be held next year.

Who can give a chance?

Hardik Pandya or KL Rahul can be given the captaincy in place of Rohit Sharma. Apart from this, if Virat Kohli and Jaspreet Bumrah are not in the team, then players like Abhishek Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Rituraj Gaikwad and Mukesh Kumar can be given a chance in the team.

India will enter this series with a new coach

In the series against Sri Lanka, the Indian team will take the field with its new coach. Former cricketer Gautam Gambhir can take over as the coach of Team India. Rahul Dravid's tenure as the head coach of Team India has ended in the final match of the T20 World Cup 2024. National Cricket Academy director VVS Laxman has been appointed as the coach of Team India for the current Zimbabwe tour. BCCI secretary Jay Shah had recently said that Team India will go to Sri Lanka to play with its new coach.
