Manipur Police conducted intensive raids and search operations in sensitive and inaccessible areas of various districts of the state. In the operation, 84 people were detained in connection with violation of various sections of the law.
Police today said that the movement of 129 vehicles carrying essential commodities on National Highway No. 37 and 244 vehicles on National Highway No. 2 has been ensured. Strict security measures have been taken at all sensitive places to ensure free and safe movement of vehicles.
Security forces have been deployed on a large scale in sensitive areas. Police said 125 check posts and checkpoints have been set up in various districts of Manipur, both in the hills and valley.
