Elections on 15 Rajya Sabha seats today, know where and how voting will take place? Which items will be banned?

Rajya Sabha Elections 2024: Voting for 15 Rajya Sabha seats will be held on Tuesday 27 February. A total of 56 Rajya Sabha members were to be elected from 15 states. Of these, 41 have been elected unopposed. Elections are to be held on the remaining 15 seats today. Out of these 15, 10 seats are from Uttar Pradesh, 4 from Karnataka and one seat from Himachal Pradesh.

Voting will take place on February 27 from 9 am to 4 pm. Counting of votes will also take place on February 27 at 5 pm. The entire election process will end on 29 February.

Let us tell you that 10 seats from Uttar Pradesh, 6 each from Maharashtra and Bihar, 5 each from West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, 4 each from Gujarat and Karnataka and 3 each from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rajasthan and Odisha. There were 3 seats and 1 seat each from Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Rajya Sabha elections: Where will the elections be held and what things will be banned?

Voting for Rajya Sabha elections will be held on Tuesday i.e. 27th February in Tilak Hall and Room No. 80 of Vidhan Bhawan. In view of the elections, the Returning Officer has banned carrying mobile phones at the polling booth.

The Returning Officer has prohibited all election candidates or their authorized representatives, voters, all employees on election duty and media persons from carrying mobile phones at the polling booth.
