Ahmedabad, July 8 (HS). The political temperature of the state has been rising since Gujarat BJP state president CR Patil became a central minister. In the state executive meeting held in Sarangpur on July 4 and 5, Patil has also expressed his intention to leave the post. After this, many people have their eyes on the new state president and on the other hand, the tug of war for the post of Chief Minister has also intensified.
Gujarat Thakor and former president of Koli Vikas Nigam Bhupat Dabhi has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding that the leader of Koli community and state cabinet minister Kunwarji Bavaliya be made the Chief Minister. After this letter, the political situation in the state has become tense. On the other hand, Kunwarji Bavaliya of Congress gotra (leader who left Congress and joined BJP) has himself clarified his demand to be made the Chief Minister. Kunwarji said that this is completely baseless. The high command takes the decision in such cases.
The Koli community of Vichhiya in Jasdan of Rajkot district has demanded even in Delhi to make Kunwarji Bavaliya the Chief Minister. However, Bavaliya has completely rejected this. While Bhupatbhai Dabhi, in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has congratulated him first of all on becoming the PM. Mentioning the population of Koli community in Gujarat, Bhupat Dabhi has said that he has written the letter after conducting a survey of the Koli community. He said that the Koli community has voted for the BJP on the advice of Kunwarji Bhai. 265 Sarpanches in Gujarat are from the Koli community. There are elected members of the Koli community in the district and tehsil panchayats. Vinod Valani, head of Panchal Vikas Board Samast Koli Samaj, said that Bavaliya has been elected as MLA 7 times in a row and once as MP. 32 percent of the population in Gujarat is of the Koli community. No final decision has been taken on the new state president in Gujarat yet, meanwhile the talk of changing the Chief Minister has started gaining momentum. Here, Kunwarji Bavaliya's recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also being considered important.
