37 female railway employees were examined in a check-up camp to prevent cancer

Ahmedabad, July 8 (HS). A special health checkup camp for women was organized by the medical department of Ahmedabad division of Western Railway at the Divisional Railway Manager's office on Monday.

In the camp, women above 40 years of age were specially screened for breast cancer and cervical cancer. This test was conducted by Gujarat Cancer Society Medical College Hospital and Research Center Asarwa (GCS) Ahmedabad for women above 40 years of age. This comes under the community based service of GCS Hospital, under which Rs. 300 is charged from each woman for the test, but this time it was kept completely free, in which 37 female railway employees were screened for breast cancer and cervical cancer.
