Ranchi, July 8 (HS). A delegation of Jharkhand State MNREGA Employees Union State Committee met MNREGA Commissioner Rajeshwari B Jharkhand on Monday at her office on her invitation and later met the Secretary of Rural Development. The negotiations were conducted in the presence and guidance of Vikrant Jyoti Central President, Sushil Kumar Pandey Central Joint Secretary Jharkhand State Contract Employees Federation Jharkhand and the team was led by Mahesh Soren State Vice President Dr. Rajesh Das State Secretary.
In the first round of talks, MNREGA Commissioner Jharkhand listened to our demands seriously. He agreed on issues like grade pay, 60 years of service, insurance and assured to implement them soon. After this, talks were held in the office room of Secretary Rural Development under the leadership of MNREGA Commissioner and considering the urgency of the time, along with giving a satisfactory honorarium hike, instructions were given to immediately prepare a file for giving grade pay as per post category and qualification on the lines of Manipur Government. The Secretary said that instructions were given to increase the file as per the above resolution to give compassionate jobs like Anganwadi workers and Para teachers.
The secretary said that there may be a delay in giving the grade pay, so for immediate relief, the honorarium will be increased within 15 days. Along with this, the file for grade pay will also be forwarded. In this positive discussion, MNREGA workers of all wings including Sagar Kumar Block Program Officer, Tribhuvan Mahato Engineer Cadre, Santosh Kumar Mahato Computer Assistant and Chaturbhuj Kumar Accounts Assistant took part.
