Ranchi, July 08 (HS). The PMLA court heard on Monday the petition filed in the matter of permission for former minister Alamgir Alam, accused in the tender commission case, to attend the assembly session. The court sought a reply from the ED in the matter. During the hearing, the ED sought time from the court to present its side. After this, Alam's advocate withdrew the petition filed for permission in the assembly. Alamgir Alam did not even attend the floor test of the assembly. Earlier on Saturday, Alamgir had filed a petition in the court to attend the assembly session. On Monday, he applied to the High Court and demanded an early hearing, but the court refused to hear and sent it to the lower court. The ED will file its reply in this matter.
It is noteworthy that a special session of the Assembly is convened on July 8. Chief Minister Hemant Soren has proved his majority in the special session of the Assembly. Alamgir Alam had sought permission from the ED court to participate in the floor test. Several orders were cited in the petition filed by him.
