Kolkata, July 08 (HS). Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and party's IT cell chief Amit Malviya has made a big allegation today. On Monday, he said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is taking steps towards making Bengal an Islamic state through Alia University.
Malviya shared two pictures of the directory issued by the university on social media and wrote that Alia University has recently invited applications from those having knowledge of 'Islamic culture' for the post of technical assistant, which is against the Indian Constitution.
Malaviya has said that the rules of reservation for SC/ST and OBCs have also been ignored in this university. He said that Congress had removed reservation for SC/ST and OBCs from Aligarh Muslim University and Jamia Millia Islamia. The same is happening in Bengal. Malaviya said that now the reservation prescribed by the Constitution for SC/STs has been abolished from all 'minority' institutions.
