Dehradun, 08 July (HS). The world famous Chardham Yatra of Uttarakhand has started again. The bad weather had hindered the Chardham Yatra. The Chardham Yatra was postponed from Saturday in view of the alert of very heavy rain. The pilgrims were waiting for the weather to clear at safe places wherever they were. After the weather cleared on Monday, all the pilgrims who had stayed there left for their destination. All these pilgrims are praying that O Badri! O Kedar! What kind of a test is this to come to your door.
In fact, the Chardham Yatra started on 10 May with the opening of the doors of Kedarnath, Gangotri-Yamunotri. After this, the journey to the four Dhams of Uttarakhand started formally with the opening of the doors of Badrinath Dham on 12 May, but not even two months had passed and all the arrangements for the Chardham Yatra were ruined due to the weather. In view of the disaster, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had already asked all the District Magistrates to remain on alert mode. Also instructed that pilgrims should not be sent for Chardham Yatra from Rishikesh and Vikasnagar. In such a situation, the pilgrims who went on the Chardham Yatra were stopped at various places.
Chief Minister Dhami's eye on Chardham Yatra
In view of the weather alert, the Uttarakhand government and police have advised the pilgrims to stop their journey for a few days through social media. However, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami himself is keeping an eye on the Chardham Yatra and has put the government level officers on duty for the convenience of the devotees. With the start of the Chardham Yatra, the way the crowd of pilgrims was gathering, the administration and the government were also nervous, then after the crowd control measures, the journey became smooth, but after this the weather hindered it. However, after the weather cleared, the Chardham Yatra has started again.
