Ranchi, July 8 (HS). Amidst the political activities of Jharkhand, the cabinet of Hemant Soren government was expanded after passing the floor test on Monday. This time three new faces have got a chance in the oath ceremony held at Raj Bhavan. Congress's Deepika Pandey Singh, Irfan Ansari and JMM's Baignath Ram have been given a place in the cabinet. Last time Baignath Ram was sidelined from Champai Soren's cabinet. But he got a place in Hemant's cabinet. Badal Patralekh and Basant Soren, who were part of Champai cabinet, were sidelined. Irfan Ansari has got the place of Alamgir Alam. Deepika Pandey Singh has got the place of Badal Patralekh. First of all, former Chief Minister Champai Soren took the oath of ministership. Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to all the ministers. After Champai Soren, Rameshwar Oraon, RJD's only MLA Satyanand Bhokta, Baighnath Ram, Deepak Birua, Banna Gupta, Irfan Ansari, Mithlesh Thakur, Baby Devi and Deepika Pandey Singh took oath as ministers.

On July 8, Hemant called a special session of the Assembly, in which Hemant Soren won the trust vote. During this, 45 votes were cast in favor of the motion of confidence in the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly and zero votes were cast against it. The proposal was supported by 27 votes of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, 17 of Congress, one of Rashtriya Janata Dal and one of CPI MLA. Expelled leaders Chamra Linda and Lobin Hembram from JMM also supported the government. BJP MLA Jaiprakash Bhai Patel, who had joined Congress in the Lok Sabha elections, was absent from the House. Saryu Rai remained neutral. He did not vote in favour of anyone. At the same time, nominated MLA JP Galsten also supported the government.
