Stock market closed with slight increase, Sensex crossed 80 thousand

The market started with a decline on the first day of the week. During the closing at 3.30 pm, the stock market saw a rise. Sensex and Nifty saw a slight increase. Sensex closed at 80,029 points with a gain of 33 points. While Nifty closed at 24,332.35 points with a gain of 8.5 points.

450 lakh crore market cap

For the first time, the market cap of the Indian stock market crossed Rs. 10 lakh crore and closed at Rs. 450 lakh crore. In today's trading session, the market cap of the shares listed on the BSE closed at Rs. 450.14 lakh crore compared to Rs. 349.88 lakh crore. Despite profit booking in the market, the market cap of the Indian stock market closed at Rs. 26000 crore with a jump in today's session.

4169 shares were traded on BSE, out of which 1802 shares closed with a gain and 2257 shares closed with a loss. There was no change in the prices of 110 shares. In today's trading, FMCG shares ITC closed up 2.27 percent, HUL 1.55 percent, Nestle 1.28 percent. Apart from this, HCL Tech closed with a gain of 0.92 percent, Tata Motors 0.87 percent, Infosys 0.72 percent, Reliance 0.69 percent, Tech Mahindra 0.40 percent, Bharti Airtel closed with a gain of 0.34 percent. Shares that declined include Titan 3.54 percent, Adani Ports 1.65 percent, Tata Steel 1.30 percent, Asian Paints 1.31 percent down.
